Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. London, December 23. The terrific gales which visited the British coast have been experienced in Holland, Bekiuro, and Hamburg. Great damage was done and many lives lost. Turoe fishing boats wire wrecked on Lewis Island, Scotland, and 22 pewons drowned. Dacc-mber 24. Poor wrecks oconrred near Liverpool, '10 of the officers and craws baiog druwned. Tne coastguard at Holyhead rescued 11 of ihe crew of the b»rqoe Kirkorichael by means of a line and basksr. Scores of chimney stacks and buildings in various parts of tho country were blown dowc, kiliiag many people. Special—By Telegraph—Copyright. London, December 24. The gale wrecked the chief streets in Belfast. Buormous damage has been doce ia the northern part of Ireland, where all the towns suffered severely.
