The monthly meeting of the Dunedin Jockey Club, held last night, was attended by the Hon. George M'Lean (in the chair), Messrs Hazlett, Meenan, Gourley, Fleming, Tagsart, Wilson, Miller, Reid, Mills, and the Hon. Thomas Fergus.

The Secretary reported with regard to the Nea case that he had written to the secretary of the Australian Jockey Club, Sydney, and Mr Clibborn had wired a reply that he could not get any information about the matter ; that the document deposited by J. M. Mouat, tha nominator, tended to show that she was the mare she was represented to be; and that Mouat stated that he was now ready to make a statutory declaration to that effect.—lt was resolved that after the statutory declaration is made the stakes be paid over.

Letters deferred from last meeting from the Winton Club, recommending the removal of the disqualification from T. B. Mortimer, and F. C. Ward, were considered. In this case the disqualification was imposed by the Winton Club on February 14-, 1891, the term being for five years. The Winton Club in consideration of the circumstances of the parties had resolved to temper justice with mercy, and recommended that the disqualification be now removed. —It was resolved that the disqualification on T. B. Mortimer and F. C. Ward be now removed.

Mr Robert M 'Skimming was appointed starter for the Ma; meeting. , Several applications for remsval of disqualifications from bookmakers were read and consideration thereof deferred.■■-.. ; ,

An application was received from the Otago Hunt Club for a donation towards the expenses of carrying on the hounds.—lt was decided that a donation of £50 be granted to the club.
