SOCIAL REFORM ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the executive of the above association was held on Monday. The res'goation of Me Keith Ramsay as treasurer and as a member o£ the executive was received and accepted with regret. Mr Stephens was appointed treasurer. The resignation of Mr A. Sligo was also received and accepted. It was reported that in consequence of action taken by this association the police had prosecuted a person for selling the " Police Budget," and had secured a conviction. Messrs Walter Bull and John Mackay were elected to fill vacancies on tke executive. The secretary reported that the response made to his appeal for books for the Industrial School had been very poorly responded to. Arrangements are being made to see-re tho services of an agent.
