Sydney, April 24. The .Taettce, a Socialistic weekly newspaper, in its last issue made a terrific onslaught on Mr Slattery, Minister for Justice. Today Mr Slattery instructed his solicitors to institute legal proceedings against Thomas Dadds, the Socialist leader, and other proprietors.

MINING ON PRIVATE PROPERTY.
In the Legislative Assembly the Minister for Lands introduced a new Mining on Private Property Bill to rephca the measure emasculated by the Legislative Council.
