Hughes, of Evertou, Liverpool, and afterwards of Kelsall Cheshire, Classical and Mathematical Teacher! He came to the colony by the ship Acrington iv 18G3, and last addressed a letter home from Commercial Hotel, Roxburgh, in June 1874, and he then requested that all future letters should be sent to the Post Office, Dunedin.
