LINCOLNS,

All classes of Lincolns were represented, but competition was confined to two celebrated breeders of long-woolled sheep—The Hon. M. Holmes and the N.Z. and A.L. Company. It is needless to say that the sheep -shown are more than creditable. The competition must have given the judges some trouble; and the result ie about au equal division of honours. The company's carried off the champion certicate for the best ram, and the Hon. M. Holmes the champion certificate for a ewe. It will bo noticed that the company have the larger number of prizes, but it must be borne in mind that they have 12 exhibits as against five, so that, allowance being made for thin, "honours are even."
