ATHLETICS.
A meeting of the committee of the Dunedin Amateur Athletic Club was held last evening, Dr W. S. Roberta in the chair. It was decided to extend the time for receiving entries until Friday, the lsfc December, on account of the date originally fixed (30th November) being a holiday. The North End Boating Club applied to have a race for its members included iv the club's programme. Owing to the length of the programme, it was resolved to decline the request. Messrs G. and T. Young offered to present a prize of the value of £2 10s for the sports on the 9th December. The offer was accepted with thanks. The following were elected members:—Messrs AY. Bsouilant, G-. EPMillan, J. E. Burt, and H. L. Xaplev.
