(Received October 22, at 10.30 a.m.) Fetes to celebrate the discovery of' America by Columbus are being carried out in Chicago Hundreds of thousands of people took part in the procession, which was 10 miles in length. October 22. (Received October 23, at 0.10 p.m.) One hundred thousand people witnessed the dedication oi the grounds and buildings connected with the World's Fair in Chicago vesterilay. it was a most representative gathering almost every American and foreign notable ill the United States being present. Fifteen thcu sand troops were on parade. Mr Chauncey Depew delivered an address, and rererred to the fact that the Australian colonies would bs adequately represented -liio iiinperor or Germany sent a congratulatory message. J
