OUR COINAGE.
TO THE EDITOH.
Sin, —It is high time something was done to purify our coinage, especially the silver portion of it. The number of worn and mutilated silver coins in circulation is very great, and, as the banks refuse to take them, is a source of annoyance and loss. Hoping something will be done in this direction, —I am, &c, Dunedin, October 21. Annoyed.
