(Recsivod October 20, at 12.10 p.m.) Mrs Parker has been acquitted on the charge of forgery. In summing up, his Honor said there was no doubt that prisoner had been taken away from trial. (Receive;! October 21, at 1.15 a.m.) Mrs Parker is being detained iv custodypending the payment of the amount of estreated bail. ATTEMPTED MURDER. ■ Sydney, October 20. (Received October 20, at 12.10 p.m.) A young man named Dixon shot his sweetheart, Miss Marcontelli, near Rosedale, and then committed suicide. The girl is not expected to recover. Her parents had forbidden her to speak to Dixon, and she complied with their wish, which, exasperated him. TRAFFIC RESUMED. Traffic, which has been interrupted on the Northern railway line owing to a landslip, has been resumed. AN APPEAL. Brisbane, October 20. (Received October 21, ai 1.15 a.m.) The Queensland Investment Company will appeal to the Privy Council against the decision of the Full Court in the case against Sir Thomas M'llwraith and others.
