The Engineers paraded for inspection at the Garrison Hall last evening, the muster being, as usual, very large. After insjicctiou, the knotting squad was examined by Captain Falconer, and went very creditably through their work. It was-announced that the field telegraph squad had passed a very satisfactory examination, one member obtaining 100 per cent. Captain Falconer delivered a lecture on " Electricity," and dwelt; at considerable length upon the construction and action of various forms of batteries. The lecture, which was illustrated by diagrams, was an excellent one and was listened to with great interest by the members. The parade state was:—l captain 2 lieutenants, 1 sergeant-major, 1 bugler-maior' 5 sergeants, 3 corporals, 1 bugler and 47 privates ;—total, 61.
