At a largely attended meeting of the Duuediu Bootmakers' Union, oa Tuesday night.it was unanimously decided to confirm the action of the delegates who attended the meeting of the General Board of Conciliation at Wellington in accepting the first of the proposals submitted by the Manufacturers' Association. Messrs Nagle, Ferguson, and Arnold were appointed to attend the conference to be held in Chnstchurch iv a fortnight's time.
