The fortnightly meeting of the Triumph Lodge, No. 9, P.A.F.S., was held on Thursday evening in the Wesleyan Schoolroom, Cargill road, when there was a good attendance of members. A report from the lodge's representatives to Grand Council meeting held on the 16th ult., showed that a substantial increase of membership had occurred during the year, that one new lodge had been opened, and that L 389 6s 9d had been added to the funds. Bro. Arnold was reappointea delegate to the D.U.F.S. Dispensary. During the evening Bro. Applegarth, on behalf of the lodge, presented Bro. J. Mathew with a past master's collar to mark the appreciation of the way in which he had performed the duties of W.M. and P.M. during his term of office, and also as a token of the brotherly feeling which existed between them. Bro. Mathew returned thanks.
