-_. Mr Goldsmith reports having received from Mr Burton, secretary to .the Ettrick Dredging Company, the following telegram :—" 9Joz, value L 36 12s, one week's work." The mine manager of the Amalgamated Waipori Deep Lead Gold Mining Company (Limited) report* for the week ending 26th March as foUows : The gutter has widened out very much in the bottom; in consequence I have a considerably hirger body of bottom wash to operate unon. The dam was fiUed with last Wednesday's rain; I have therefore dispensed with F. Johnson's race." Ihe telegram we published yesterday referring 1 to the starting of dredge machinery referred to the Dunedin Gold Dredging Company
