Ellis, L227-a 5 reduction having been made owing to the Benevo- ', lent Institution being excluded. On the motion of Cr M'Laren, seconded by Cr 11 Boyes, the tender of Mr J. Ellis was accepted An amendment, moved by Cr Yates, and seconded by Cr M^Gonigal, that the lowest tender be * accepted was lost.
