MOVEMENTS OF UNION STEAM SHIP COMPANY'S FLEET.
Monday, March 21. Bluff — Manapouri arrived 1.30 p.m. from Hobart. Oamaru—Herald arrived early from Dunedin. Lyttelton—Pukaki arrived 1 p.m. yesterday from Wellington. Wellington—Hauroto arrived 9 a.m. yesterday from Lyttelton. Kotorua arrived 2 p.m. yesterday from Lyttelton. Manawatu arrived 8 a.m from Westport. Napier—Ohau arrived 5 a.m. from Timaru. Gisbbrne—Waihora arrived 7 a.m. from Napier • sailed 10.45 a.m: for Auckland. Auckland—Ovalau arrived 6.30 a.m. yesterday from Wellington. ♦ .' The barque August Burchard was towed up from the lower harbour, and berthed at the Rattray street wharf yesterday. By some means or other a mistake appeared in our issue of yesterday m respect to her arrival, the name of her agents appearing as J. Dalgety and Co., instead of J. Rattray and Co. to whom she is consigned. it T^?'?; s- Invercargill landed cargo yesterday at the Rattray street wharf. The barque Annie Reed has landed about 200 tons of her cargo at the Victoria wharf. The s.s. Penguin left the Rattray street wharf yesterday afternoon with passengers and cargo for northern ports. During the week ending March 20,13 vessels of all classes, with a total of 6398 tons register arrived at the Dunedin wharves, and 9 vessels, with a total of 5694 tons, left them. ' The brigantine Camille has landed a great part of her cargo of timber at the Rattray street wharf. The schooner Spray, with cargo from Napier arrived at the Rattray street wharf at 3.40 a.m. on Sunday. ■ The barque J. H. Marstera will sail for Lyttelton to-day if the weather is favourable. The barque Northern Star will sail with the first fair wind for Greymouth, at which port she is chartered to load for Port Pirie. The ship Opawa has landed over 700 tons of cargo at the cross wharf. It is turning out in fir3t-class order. The schooner Isabella Anderson has;taken in a quantity of cargo, and sails with the first fair wind to complete loading at Lyttelton for Kaipara. Owing to the bad weather which prevailed yesterday very little work was done amongst the shipping. The barque Peri is fast filling up with cargo. She has on board 3218 bales wool, 77 bales sheepskins, 59 bales rabbitskins, and 94 casks tallow The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's steamer Pakeha is expected to arrive at Port Chalmers from Lyttelton on Wednesday morning. ♦ VESSELS IN PORT. The following vessels were in the port of Otago yesterday:— AT DUNEDIN. At the cross wharf—Ship Opawa (Captain Martin); barque, J. H. JVlarsters (Captain M Neill). Jetty street wharf—Barque, Laira (Captain Hughes); schooner, Isabella Anderson (Captain Larag). Rattray street wharf—Barques—Annie Reed (Captain Welt), Northern Star (Captain Bushell), August Burchard (Captain Fretwurst); brigantine, Camille (Cautain Woebling); schooner, Spray (Captain WiUiams); steamers—lnvercargill (Captain Sundstrom), Napier (Captain Hansen). AT PORT CHALMERS. At the export pier—Barque, Peri (Captain Evans). At the George street pier—Steamers—Talune (Captain A. W. Cameron), Upolo (Captain Arthur), Rotokino (Captain Spinks), Plucky (Captain Thomson),' Koputai, Poherua (Captain M'Beath). In the stream —Barque, Akaroa (Captain Murray); steamers —Ringarooma, Taupo, Beautiful Star.
