At the conclusion of the match, Mr Jamei Hislop, in proposing the health of the countr; clubs, expressed the wish that the gathering would be an annual one, and the play entirely in the country districts, the return match nex year being played at the Taieri. Mr J. Nichol son, in reply, said that the match had been : most pleasant one, and would be the means o making bowling more popular. He quite con curred with Mr Hislop that it should be ai annual affair. He proposed a vote of thanks ti the Milton Bowling Club for the kindly use o the green, and the tiptop condition in which i had been prepared for the match. Roslyn Club. The match Highlands v. Lowlands was playei at the Roslyn green on Saturday, and attractei considerable attention. The first match wa won by the Highlanders by 3 points. The Low landers strained every nerve to reverse thi decision, but only succeeded in making a tie o it. Burt's gold medal and other prizes. The ranges were 300 and 400 yards; seven shots and a sighter at each. An unsteady wind interfered with the shooting to some extent.
