WIRTH BROS COMBINED SHOWS.

The combined shows of Messrs Wirth Bros, are once more in Dunedin, and will open this evening on the reclaimed ground, Jetty street. The huge tent will be lighted with gas throughout, and generally the comfort of patrons will be looked after, the raised platform with chairs being a special feature. The number of performers is larger than ever, while the stock of horses is probably the finest collection in any circus in the world, whiehis saying a great deal. There is an excellent band also to furnish the music. The reputation for excellence gained by Messrs Wirth on the occasion of their former visits is shown by their great success on the overland tour from Invercargill. At Balclutha on Saturday the sale of tickets for portions of the house had to be stopped some time before the performance commenced. To keep three circus rings all goiiis at once shows the strength of the company, which includes old favourite performers sucji as the Misses Wirth, the Wirth and Walhalla Bros., A. St. Leon, the cowboys and Indians, with innumerable clowns, and, last but not least, Kneebone, the champion athlete of Australia, whose feats of strength are said to be surprising. The box plan is open at the Dresden Warehouse, where seats can be reserved and tickets purchased during the day for other parts of the mammoth tent.
