MR W. H. JUDE.

Mr Pollard is at present in Dunedin making arrangements for the appearance of Mr Jude, the well-known organist and popular song-writer. Mr Jude was born at Westleton, Suffolk, in 1852, and early evinced an unusual predilection for music. He first made his mark as a descriptive vocalist and his "Two Hours with Henry itusseU soon gained him a wide reputation in J^ngmnd. He then turned his attention to composition, and the numerous songs, which are well known throughout the world, are proof of his talent in this direction. Ca, stle gate/" "Grannie's story," The landlord's daughter/ &c. There are no entertainments more pleasing in their character tfian are those m which the entertainer happens to be a clever musician, and one who is at the same time possessed of the power of relating a story effectively and cracking a joke in a manner which ensures its telling on the audience.
