.Auckland, February 10.—The Auckland, b'rigantine Ryno, Captain A. Tribe, has been wrecked at Flint Island, where she went ashore during a gale. The crew and one passenger who was also on board landed safely, and the master, mate, and steward set out in an open boat and reached Huahine, one of the Society group, whence they tre veiled to Papatee.- The Ryno was under charter to Arundel and Co., in the guano trade. MOVEMENTS OF UNION STEAM SHIP COMPANY'S FLEET. Wednesday, February 10. Bluff. — Tarawera arrived 10.40 a.m. from Sounds ;' sailed 4.30 p.m. for Port Chalmers. Oamaru. —Herald arrived 11 a.m. from Dunedin. Wellington.— Takapuna arrived 1 a.m. from New Plymouth. Rotorua arrived 9 a.m. from Nelson. Mangana .arrived 11 a.m. from Lyttelton.

Gisborne.—Pukaki arrived 5 a.m. from Napier; sailed 10.30 a.m. for Auckland.

The s.s. Wairarapa, Captain J. M'lntosh, from Melbourne, via Hobart, "West Coast, and the Bluff Harbour, arrived at the Bowen pier, Port Chalmers, at 7 a.m. yesterday. Mr W. Nancarrow , (her purser) reports she left Williamstown at 5.35 p.m. of the 2nd inst., and cleared Port Phillip Heads at 7.50 p.m., had Swan. Island abeam at 2.35 p.m. of the 3rd inst., had light easterly winds with fine weather, and arrived at Hobart at 8 a.m. of the 4th inst.; left again at 8.20 p.m. of that day, had fresh southerly winds until the 7th inst., when it increased to a strong southerly gale, with squally weather and high seas, which continued until she arrived at Milford Sound at 11 p.m. of that day; entered the sound at 7 a.m. of the Bth inst., and left again at 0.45 a.m.; passed Puysegur Point at 8 p.m., and arrived at the Bluff at 5.45 a.m. of the 9th, having experienced light winds and fine weather from Milford to the West Cape, and thence fresh easterly winds and head seas. She left the Bluff at 6.15 p.m. of the 9th inst., and had fresh southerly winds with hazy weather along the coast. Owing to the continued bad weather yesterday very little work was done at the Dunedin wharves. The s.s. Brunuer, from the West Coast ports, arrived at the George street pier, Poi-t Chalmers, at 7.30 a.m. yesterday. Mr Stock (her purser) reports :—She left Weatport at 2.45 p.m. of the 4th inst.; passed Cape Farewell at 4.45 a.m. of the sth; had light variable winds to Stephen's Island, followed by a strong S.E. gale with rainy weather and heavy seas through Cook Strait, and arrived at Wellington at 7.30 p.m. of the sth inst.; left again at. 11.30 p.m. of the 6th inst. ; had' variable weather with a sti'ong southerly, swell until noon of the 7th inst., and thence a strong N.E. gale with heavy sea and very thick rain squalls, which rendered it very difficult to pick up the land ; reached Lyttelton at 8.45 p.m. of the 7th; left again at 4.30 p.m. next day; had a very heavy N.E. swell down the coast, and arrived at Timaru at 7.45 a.m. of the 9th; was prevented from working owing to the heavy break,.and left again at 10 a.m.; arrived :-'s Oarnaru at 3.30 p.m.; landed cargo, and left again at 7.30 p.m.; had strong southerly winds with dirty weather down the coast, and arrived off the heads at 10.15 p.m.; steamed off and on during the night, and came up to Port Chalmers wharf as above. The s.s. Star of England, from London for New Zealand, via Melbourne, passed Cape Oatway on January 29. The British-India liner Fazilka, from Calcutta, via Australian ports to New Zealand, arrived at Adelaide on January 29 with Captain Dakin, the chief officer, and five seamen of the brig Parnell, which was wrecked at Prince Frederick William!s Haven, German New Guinea, in October last. All the men have been down with fever. Mr G. Blyth, the agent for the schooner Enterprise, has received a telegram stating that the Enterprise arrived at Greymouth on Tuesday evening from LytteltoD. She loads there for Gisborne. The s.s. Talune, from Sydney, via East Coast • ports, arrived in harbour yesterday afternoon, and while steaming up the Victoria Channel took the ground off Ravensbourne. Mr J. C. Taylor (her purser) reports:—She left Sydney at 5.15 p.m. of the 28th ult., had moderate weather, and reached Auckland at 9 a.m. of the 2nd inst.; discharged and received cargo, leaving again for southern ports at 1 p.m. of the 4th inst., called at Gisborne on the sth, Napier on the 6th, and Wellington on the 7th; left that port at 6 p.m. of the Bth, arrived at Lyttelton next morning; left again at 8 p.m., and arrived as above. She had fresh S.E. winds from Auckland to Lyttelton, and shortly before entering Otago Heads, met a strong S.W. gale. The barquentine Elinor Vernon sailed yesterday morning for Auckland. ■ The s.s. Duke of Westminster sailed yesterday morning for Lyttelton. The s.s. Napier, which had been waiting for the last 24 hours for a change of weather, put to sea for Fertrose yesterday, but, meeting a fierce S.W. gale, was compelled to put back to Port Chalmers after getting as far as Cape Saunders. Captain Matheson informs us that during his 19 years' experience of this coast he has never seen such a sea as he did yesterday breaking over the Hydra Rock.
