MASONIC.

The installation of the R.W.M. Bio. James Brown, and investiture of officers of Lodge St. John Kilwinning, G62, S.C.took place on Thursday evening, the 28th inst., in the Masonic Hall, North-East Valley. There was a very large attendance of members and visiting brethren. The R.W.D.G. Lodge, S.C., performed the installing ceremony, the R.W.S.D.G.M. Bro. W. Jeffrey, acting installing master. The following were the officers invested: R.W.M., Bro. James Brown; T.P.M., Bro. S. S. Myers, P.M.; D.M., Bro. Jas. Farquharson, P.M.; S.M., Bro. T. S. Jeffrey, P.M.; S.W., Bro. H. R. Clark; J.W., Bro. Thomas Stonebridge; secretary, Bro. Theo. Arnold; treasurer, Bro. S. S. Myers, P.M.; Chaplain, Bro. Fred. Smith, P.M.; organist, Bro. D. Murray, P.M.; S.D., Bro. I. Green; J.D., Bro. C. F. Bohm; 1.G., Bro. J. H. Spencer; stewards, Bros. Alexander Smith and A. E. Pender; auditors, Bros. I Green and E. J. Schlotel, P.M. P.S.W. Bro. Pilkington, on behalf of the lodge, presented to P.M. Bro. Myers a very handsome P.M's jewel, and in a very happy speech referred at some length to the great amount of good Bro. Myers had done for the lodge. Bro. Myers suitably responded. After the lodge was closed the members entertained the visitors at a banquet, when the usual loyal and Masonic toasts were drunk, and a most enjoyable evening spent. The meeting broke up at 12 p.m. when two drags that were in attendance carried the visitors back to town, they being highly pleased with their evening's entertainment.
