ALBION V. CARISBROOK.
This match was played on Saturday afternoon at Carisbrook and resulted in the .decisive defeat of the North-enders, whose batting was very feeble. In the absence of Harper and Bell, Drabble captained the Carisbrook, and Croxford wiuuing the toss elected to bat. Slight raiii was falliug at the commencement of the game, and at half-past 4 a drenching downpour put an end to fnrther play. Rattray played pretty cricket for 37, not o_ut, and Hope batted with vigour and effect. Stronach had hard luck in being well caught at mid-on off a full toss which he failed to lay hold of. The match Carisbrook II v. Albion II was played at Carisbrook and left xinfinished owing to the rain. Carisbrook completed their first innings .for 91—Cooke (26), H. Harraway (21), and Feuwick (IS) being the chief contributors. Manley bowled well for the Albion. The match Carisbrook D Team v. Port Chalmers was played at Port on Saturday and resulted in a tfraw. Carisbrook going first to the wickets ■scored 54, of which Matheson and M'Gill claimed 10 each. Wilson and Foster bowled well for Port. The Port had two wickets down for 12, wheu the jain stopped the game. Monk bowled well for Carisbrook, getting the two wickets at a small •cost.
The match Opoho No. 1 v. the Grange Second •ended in a draw. Opoho, going first to the wickets, jan up 109 for four wickets, M'Lean (37), Allnutt (35), Goqch (12, not out) and Doig (10) playing well. The innings was then closed, but the rain coming ■on put an end to the game. The match Opoho No. 2 v. Warehousemen Second also ended in a draw. The Opoho team made 54 (Webb 19), and the Warehousemen had "two wickets down for 5 runs, when play was .stopped by the rain.
