There was no ap'soarance of the defendants.—After evidence had been given for the plaintiff showing that two of the promissory notes in .iiiestioti had been lost since tin; dishonour, his Worship undertook to give judgment under section 0 of "The Resident Magistrates Act Amendment Act 187!)," on condition that plaintiff gave an indemnity to the court against the claims of any other persons upon the notes.--The easo was then adjourned till Monday in order to allow of the indemnity being given.
