RUNS CALLING IN.
A special meetiug of tho Laud Board was held on the 26th inst. to further consider the question of dealing- with runs the leases of which will expire on the 28th of February 1893 There were present the Chief Commissioner (Mr J. P. Maitland) and Messrs Clark, Dallas, Duncan, and M'Kerrow. The question having been considered in committee, the board resolved to recommend his Excellency the Governor-in-Council to deal with tho runs the leases of which expire on <28th of February 1893 in the following manner :-—
Rnn 17, area, 12 COO acres, class 2.—Recommended not to be leased. Run 129, 11,000 acres.~To bo offered under pastoral license for three years. Upset rental £275. without classification under "Land Act 1000.

Run 282 c, 30,6,90 acres, and Run 262 d, 27,290 acres, clas3l.—The board having reason to believe that there is a' demand for small grazing runs, and considering this country as suitable for this system, although perhaps requiring to be offered m larger areas than usual, recommend that these runs should not be re-leased.
