Medical. RESUSCITATION.. Everyone who has been attacked with the prevailing epidemic of Influenza knows that it is very lowering to.the system, and that a general feeling of weakness permeates all through the body. Now, it is highly necessary that some Tonic Medicine should be taken to bring the system up to its proper standard, because if not immediately attended to more serious complaints may develop, and cause a large amount of unnecessary misery.' His Excellency Lord Onslow has communicated the fact to Mother Mary Joseph Aubert that the remedy "KARANA," as prepared by herself, is, in his opinion, and from his own experience in taking same, a perfect tonic and very fortifying, and the public may rest assured that the Governor of this Colony would not give such testimony unless he was well aware that it was correct. Those persons who are troubled with a Cough as an after effect from Influenza are particularly requested to give "MARUPA" a fair trial, and it will be found that benefit will result. _ It may be as well to mention here that these Remedies are not cheap and nasty preparations, but are made up in such concentrated form that they may at first sight appear expensive, but this is not so, as, from the very many nattering testimonials which have been received, the proprietor is confident that value is being given, and that only good results follow with thoso persons who have given the Remedies a trial. No medicines previously introduced into New Zealand have reached a total sale of eightepn thousand bottles in four months, and yet this has been done by Mother Mary Joseph Aubert. Kindly remember that "KARANA" is invigoragingtothe system, and that "MARUPA' will successfully combat with any Cold, Cough or Bronchial Affection "R ° N __ « O A." a^ R°^ gc?" c^res^oUNDS' Piles, Bm-ng, Ulcers rht mfi TTTai^ ng w Sores' Erysipeias. But though the Maoris knew the value of the remedy and appreciated its power, their preparation was rude, incomplete, and difficult of ippUcation. Ignorance.had introduced superstition where science ought to have ruled. The remedy was, .however, prepared according to the directions received and handed to a medical man, who was asked to put its powers fairly to the test Hodid so, and the results exceeded the most sanguine expectations formed concerning it. Though the preparation was necessarily still somewhat crude he treated with it obstinate sores, ulcers, eczema' and other more serious diseases of the skin, with never-failing success. Even in extensive wounds, hen erysipelas had set in and defied the usua remedies, a few applications of the lotion effected a, complete cure. The value of the remedy having been thus proved beyond a doubt, it was necessary to study how the defects in its preparation could be remedied, and here .great difficultils were encountered. After much time and labour spent in | exhaustive experiments, all obstacles have at length been removed, and not only has Rongpa been rendered easy of application, but its healing powers, at first known only in part, have nowW fully developed. It is, therefore with perfect confidence that " Rongoa" is now placed before the public, not as an experiment but as a remedy carefully prepared and systematically tested.; a remedy which'justly claims to be, of its kind, the greatest curative agent of the day and one entirely free from injuriousl substances vide report from Dr Black, Government Analyst •— ''University Laboratory, "tv. .
