Ihe s.s. Invercargill was hauled out of the graving dock yesterday forenoon, and sailed for Preservation Inlet, via Invercargill. The ship Linlithgowshire, from Capetown, arrived off the heads yesterday morning, and after receiving orders sailed for Wellington. The s.s. Talune left the George street pier yesterday afternoon for Sydney, via East Coast ports. The s.s. Manapouri, Captain A. Cameron, from Sydney, via East Coast ports, arrived alongside the Bowen pier at 10.15 a.m. yesterday. Mr Tubby (her purser) reports having left Sydney at 5.15 p.m. on the3lst ult. and breasted the Three Kings at 1 p.m. on the 4th inst., and North Cape at 7.30 p.m. same day, reaching Auckland at 2.30 p.m. onthe sth, leaving again at 1.45 p.m. on the 7th. called at Gisborne on the Bth, Napier 9th, Wei' lington 10th, leaving again on the 11th, and arrived at Lyttelton on the morning of the 12th ; sailed again at 5 p.m. same day, arriving as above having experienced light and moderate variable winds and fine weather down the con,at. The s.s. Brunner, with, cargo and passengers, from the West Coast arrived at the ltattray street wharf at midnight on Tuesday. She left Westport at 2 p.m. of the Bth inst.; passed Cape Farewell at 2.22 a.m. of the 9th, and arrived at Wellington at 3.35 p.m. ; left for the south at 11 p.m. same day, and passed the Kaikotiras at 2 a.m. next day, arriving at Lyttolton at 10.15 a.m. ; left again at 5.15 p.m. of the 11th, and reached Timaru at 6.50 a.m. of the 12th; left again atlo.lsa.in. ; called at Oamaru at 3.30 p.m., left that port at 5.30 p.m., and arrived at headquarters as above. She had N.W. winds, with fine weather from Westport to Wellington, thence fresh S.W. winds and sea to Lyttelton, followed by fine weather to arrival. The schooner Isabella Anderson landed cargo at the Rattray street wharf yesterday. All claims against the barque Assel are to be sent in to-day to her agents, Messrs Ncill and Co. (Limited).

The barque Umvoti left Mauritius on December 8, for this port. The ship Invercavgill was towed up from Port Chalmers yesterday afternoon and berthed at the cross wharf.

The s.s. Manapouri steamed up from Port Chalmers yesterday afternoon, and landed cargo at the tongue wharf.
