Mails close ot the Chief Post Office, Dunedin (subiect to any necessary alterations).-!* under:— For Northern Ports, overland, daily at 10.30 a.m., C.P.O. Late letters, mail van, North train, at 11 a.m. Tins Day (AA'kdnesiiay), December 30. For AVestport, per Pukaki, at 11.30 a.m. Late letters guard's van, Port Chalmers train, at 12.10 For Lyttelton, Christchurch, and Northern Ports of New Zealand, and Sydney, per AVakatipu, at 2.20 p.m. Late letters, C.P.0., at 2.30 p.m. (Letters for Sydney must be specially addressed ). For Southland, Australian Colonies, India, China, Japan, Continent of Europe, United Kingdom, ivc, per Mararoa, at 4.30 p.m. -Money orders (for Australian Colonies only), registered letters, and newspapers at 2 p.m. Late letters, guard's van, Port' Chalmers tram, at 5.15 p.m. , . , Letters for the United Kingdom must be specially addressed and paid 2.d per Joz. . Parcel post mails for the Australian Colonies (except New South AA'ales and Queensland) will lose two hours before the letter mail. SAN FRANCISCO MAIL SERVICE. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, Samoa, Sandwich Islands, United States of America, Canada, South America, AVest Indies, United Kingdom, and Continent of Europe, at 10 a.m. Money orders at 4 p.m. and registered correspondence at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 29th. Book packets and newspapers at 9 a.m. on Ay ednesday,3oth. . Late letters, bearing an additional single rate of postage (2_d) as a late fee can be posted in themail van attached to the North train, leaving Dunedin railway station at 11 a.m. on the 30th. The above mail will close at the branch post offices, North Dunedin and South Dunedin, for money orders at 4 p.m., and registered letters at 5 p.m". on the 2;) th ; letters at 0.30 a.m., and newspapers at 5 a.m. on the .'JOth. At the Port Chalmers 0.-liceat 5 a.m. on the 30th, money orders nt 4 p.m., and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 29th. The above mail will be due in London on 3rd February. Thursday, December 31. The Nairnshire will leave Port Chalmers for London direct on Thursday, 3lst. Correspondence, specially addressed, will close at this office on Thursday, 3lst, at 11.30 a.m. Lato letters, guard's van, Port train, at 12.10 p.m. Friday, January 1 (New Year's Day), being a Post Ollice holiday, all mails usually despatched on that date will close at this office on Thursday, 31st, lit 8 p.m. A delivery of letters will be made over the counter by letter carriers, etc. from S) to 10 p.m. on Thursday, 31st.
