Dunnet, of Kelso, at the price of lOOgs. Lady Salisbury, the animal in question, took lirst iv her class on Friday, that of yeld mares, an.l the champion prize offered for the best Clydesdale mare on the ground. She i.s by the celebrated sire Lord .Salisbury, out of Mr Dunnet'.s mare Rosie, whose sire was the well-known imported horse Wallace. Lady Salisbury is in her prime, being just four years old. She is a light bay, with white face and hind feet, otlier points black. She is a big mare, set low on line, clean, hard logs and excellent feet, altogether a pleasant-looking and handsome type of her class. A Tokomairiro farmer who has always been hostile to the method of singlejudgingat the stockshows has just been converted to it. He wns at the lin-ercargill show last week, where the system of having one judge is adopted, and, according to the Bruce Herald, he was so impressed with its superiority that he is now entirely in favour of it. lie says the business is got tlirougli more quickly an.l more satisfactorily to all parties. There is no haggling between the judges, who may hold diverseopinions, as is sometimes the case here and elsewhere. Some folks are so sharp that they will cut you if you neglect your looks. Restore your faded hair to its youthful colour and brightness with Mrs S. A. Allen's World's Hair Restorer.
