Mails for the United Kingdom, &c. will close at this office on Wednesday, 9th, at 1.50 p.m. Late letters, guard's van, Port Chalmers train, at 2.30 p.m. Parcels for the United Kingdom, &c. will close at this office on Wednesday, Uth, at 11.50 a.m. This mail will reach London three days earlier than that which goes bjr the s.s. Talune, via Melbourne. Saturday, December 12. FEDERAL SERVICE. For Southland, Australian Colonies, India, China, Japan, Continent of Europe, United Kingdom, &c, per Talune, at 8 p.m. Money orders at 1 p.m.; registered letters at 5 p.m.; newspapers at 7 p.m. • Late letters, guard's van, Port Chalmers train, at 2.30 p.m. on Sunday, 13th.
