RULES AND REGULATIONS. The winner of any handicaps after the declaration of the weights to carry 51b extra. No horse entered for any handicap (except the Novel) will be allowed to run in any hack race- at this meeting, and no horse running in any luv.k race will be allowed to run in any handicap race. The Dunedin Jockey Club Rules will be strictly adhered to. No entries will be received for any of the above races except on the condition that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the stewards or those whom they may appoint, and their decision shall he final. No protest will be received unless the sum of 2sovs is deposited with the secretary, such sum to be forfeited if the same be considered frivolous. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of the stakes for expenses. No entries or acceptances will be received on any pretence after the day and hour specified in ' Rules of the Dunedin Jockey Club will be strictly adhered to, both as regards'the racing and the working of the totalisator.
