THE LATE SIR F. WHITAKER.

(Pkh Unitkd Pjikss Association.) Auckland, December 7. There was a full attendance of the Law Society at the Supreme Court to-day, Mr Justice Conolly presiding. Special reference to the death of Sir F. Whitaker was made. Mr Hesketh read a highly eulogistic address on behalf of the Law Society, of which Sir F. Whitaker was president. Mr Button spoke on behalf of the firm of which deceased was a partner. Judge Conolly made highly laudatory remarks concerning the career of the deceased as a colonist and politician. The court then adjourned for the day.
