The b.s Napier leaves Dunedin to-day for Owake river and Fortrose. The Union Steam Ship Company's chartered steamer Specialist was to leave Calcutta about June 20 for New Zealand ports. The s.s. Orawaltl having been cleaned and repainted was hauled out of the graving dock yesterday morning and berthed at the George street pier to complete her overhaul. The s.s. Ohau, Captain Anderson, from Lyttelton, arrived at PorS Chalmers at 8 a m. yesterday, and after taking on board a supply of coals steamed up to Dunedin. She left Lyttelton at 2 a.m. on the 9th lnst., passed Akaroa at 7XO p.m., and arrived as above, having experienced a strong southerly gale with heavy s.E. sea down the coast. The s.s. Tarawera, Captain W C Sinclair, from Auckland, via Lyttelton and East Coast ports, arrived at Fort Chalmers at 2.15 p.m. yesterday and Bteamed aloDgside tbe George Btreet pier to discbarge her, cargo. Mr Humphries (her purser) reportß leaving Auckland at 10 p.m. on the 4th imt., arrived at Qlßborne at 11 p.m. on tbe sth, and left again at 3 a.m. on the 6th; reached Napier at 11 a.m., and left again at 3 p.m. same day; anlved at Wellington at 6.30 p m. on the 7th, sailed again at 4 p.m. on the Bth; reached Lyttelton at 2 p.m. on the 9th; pushed on again for headquarters at 7 p.m. same day, arriving as above. From Anokland to Napier she met fine weather, and from thence strong southerly winds with heavy head sea to Lyttelton, and from that port fine weather to arrival. The s.s.
