She left Melbourne wharf on June 2at 2 p.m.; cleared Williamstownat 4.50 p.m., Port Phillip Heads at 8.p.m., and arrived atHobarton the 4th at 4 v.m.; sailed on the 6th at 5.15 p.m., breasted Puyaegur light on the 9th at 6 30 p.m., experienced line weather with smooth sea from Melbourne to Swan Island, thence strong southerly wind and high tea to arrival ..at Hobart; theuco strong S.W. winds with high eea and cloudy weather to Puysegur Point, when it moderated to arrival. Matatua will steam down to Fort Chalmers this morning and take in a quantity of frozen sheep at the wharf. Tbe tohooner Spray landed grain ac the cross wharf yesterday. The Union Steam Ship Company's steamer Talune steamed down to Port Chalmers yesterday morning, and after taking in cargo embarked paßßengers and sailed in the afternoon for Auckland, via the East Coast. The b.s Napier leaves Dunedin to-day for Owake river and Fortrose. The Union Steam Ship Company's chartered steamer Specialist was to leave Calcutta about June 20 for New Zealand ports. The s.s. Orawaltl having been cleaned and repainted was hauled out of the graving dock yesterday morning and berthed at the George street pier to complete her overhaul. The s.s. Ohau, Captain Anderson, from Lyttelton, arrived at PorS Chalmers at 8 a m. yesterday, and after taking on board a supply of coals steamed up to Dunedin. She left Lyttelton at 2 a.m. on the 9th lnst., passed Akaroa at 7XO p.m., and arrived as above, having experienced a strong southerly gale with heavy s.E. sea down the coast. The s.s. Tarawera, Captain W C Sinclair, from Auckland, via Lyttelton and East Coast ports, arrived at Fort Chalmers at 2.15 p.m. yesterday and Bteamed aloDgside tbe George Btreet pier to discbarge her, cargo. Mr Humphries (her purser) reportß leaving Auckland at 10 p.m. on the 4th imt., arrived at Qlßborne at 11 p.m. on tbe sth, and left again at 3 a.m. on the 6th; reached Napier at 11 a.m., and left again at 3 p.m. same day; anlved at Wellington at 6.30 p m. on the 7th, sailed again at 4 p.m. on the Bth; reached Lyttelton at 2 p.m. on the 9th; pushed on again for headquarters at 7 p.m. same day, arriving as above. From Anokland to Napier she met fine weather, and from thence strong southerly winds with heavy head sea to Lyttelton, and from that port fine weather to arrival. The s.s. Poherua left Port Chalmers yesterday evening for Westport The o.fl. Tarawera was taken in the graving dock Bt Port Chalmers yesterday for overhaul.
