The Cargill Road Mutual Improvement Class net, as usual, on Wednesday evening. The ice-president (Mr W. R. Cole) presided, and md there was a large attendance. Miss Palmer cad an excellent paper on " Jewish Sects," the iriticism of which was opened by Miss Rainsiorth and Mr S. Bridgman. There was a large attendance of members and Friends at the usual meeting of the John street CJaversham Mutual Improvement Class, held on rhursday evening. The president (Rev. J. T. Hint on) occupied the chair. The first number at ths society's journal—The 31ow-worm wa3 read by Mr S. Earland.
