THE AUCKLAND HOSPITAL INQUIRY.

Auckland, February 14.
The.hospital inquiry was continued to-day. Nurse Goulstono waa the only other witness called by Mr Roes, who appears for Miss Arnaboldi. Mr Cooper, the counsel for Dr Collins, called as his first witness Miss Baker, bead nurse, who deposed that Berry and M'Kenzie appeared to hava been properly and carefully treated. There was not excessive bleeding from Berry's hand. She considered that in the operation on M'Kenzie every care wa9 taken. She had been in tho hospital during tho time that Dr Collins was there, and there had been in that time many cases of both olasses—serious operations and medioal cases—and they had always been attended to. Witness deposed that she had had cix and a-half years' experience in hospitals. Misses Jouas and Beetbam, nurses at the hospital, also gavo evidence, and the commission then adjourned till Monday ovening, when Dr Collins is to be examined.
