Mr Playford has announced the policy of the new Government, the principal point of which will be an enterprising extension of public works, for which a loan will be asked. A railway will be made from the Great Northern line to Inniminka at a cost of a million and a quarter. Three hundred thousand pounds will be spent on new rolling stock, £170,000 on a new railway station at Adelaide, and £400,000 on a water supply. The land policy will include repurchase of land suitable for working men's blocks. A bill is promised for making the system of education free, the loss by which will be made np by an increase of the probate duty, and an increase of the income tax from property by 2d, from trades by Id in the pound; while absentees will have to pay 4d in the pound more than at present. '. ■
