[By EiiEcmo Telegraph.—Copvkisht.] (I'liit rnisss Association.) RIOTS IN LIVERPOOL. London, March 16. (Received March IS, at neon.) As a result of the strikes the price of coal at Bolton has risen 7s. Several factories have stopped work in consequence. March 17. (Received March 18, at 9.15 p m.) The colliery ewners have appointed a | committee to meet delegates from the miners on Thursday next. A settlement of matters in dispute is now more hopeful, but in the event of the owners refusing to give way to some extent the colliers are determined to fight to the bitter end.

In consequence of tho riotous behaviour of those on strike at Liverpool an additional 500 troops have been sent there. It is believed the situation is grave. The federated colliery owners have reiterated their refusal to the colliers'terms, and have empowered the committee appointed to confer with the minors' delegates to promote an amicable settlement, and, if possible, arrange a method for the prevention of future disputes. March 18. (Received March ID, at 1.20 a.m.) Several of the large factories and mills at Bradford, Burnley, and Sheffield have been closed owing to the strike among the colliers. The Liverpool strikers stoned the police constables during the riot which occurred there yesterday.
