TO THE EDITOIi. S lEl _There is, I consider, good and sufficient reason for inflicting the " gong torture" complained of by " Nobody." Oo my first visit to the exhibition, after a long ramble, enjoying the many novelties offered to the g»ze of the visitor, the iunec man began to rmike his wauts felt, and after a vain search tor tho dining rooms, in company with numerous other unfortunates, the sound of that gong struck upon my ear like sweetest music, recalling, as it did, to my mind the welcome sound tho traveller always hears at meal times on board steamers aud in good hotels. Following up that soinid, I fouud mv conjecture correct. It meant a«oodwholcsome"nieal,oookeiliußstyleequalling that of any ordinary hotel iv this or other city in the colony. » Nobody's " waxy potato, or whatever the objectionable vegetable wag, must have beeu tbo exrapLoti that proves the rule- for, tbauks to the -gong," I have had numerous meals in the exhibition d.nmg rooms, •mil although uot exactly suitable to the epi- !■ cure »u palate of '• Nobody," still sound and wholesome, and charged for on the most moderate scale.— I am, &c, Duaedin, February 10, Nr.MO,
