Auckland, February 20 A sad occurrence is reported from Ohinewai Mrs R. Muir was sittting near her house when she saw a man thrown heavily from his horse She cslkd for assistance, but was herself to frightened that: a few moments afterwards she fell dead from hscrt diseasel.
Mastehton, February 20. Mrs Eley, who w,;s reported to have jumped from <a train yesterday, lives opposite where she jumped off; and, as the train always slows down on crossing the bridge over the Waiuanga she thought she would rather risk it to save a ion" walk. The re>ult was that she herself was bruised and her child contused. Neither ia seriously hurt, She will be charged under the railway bye-laws with leaving the train while in motion.
