EXHIBITION BOWLING TOURNAMENT.

A six clays' bowling tournament, under the auspices of the New Zealand Bowling Association, was commenced of the 23rd ult., when about 200 bowlers assembled in Dtinedin to compete in the various events- Tho visitors came from nearly all parts of New Zealand, while the sister colony of Victoria sent ovsr four rinks. The weather was magnificent throughout and the proceedings most enjoyable. Owing to demands on our space we only give tho intercolonial match, the North v. South match, and the finals of tho rink and singlehanded tournament.

INTERCOLONIAL MATCH-VICIORIA V. NEW

ZKALA.ND. The 6cene on the Dunedin green on the 25th, when for the third time a team of New Zealand bowlers met and defeated a Victorian team, was a very brilliant one. The lovtly weather, aud the fact of ita being a ladies day, tempted out not alone a number of bowlers and the guneral public, but also a very large number of ladies, Including many from Victoria, who attended to ace the Victoriaus do battle for their colony. His Worship tho Mayor (Mr John Roberts; find tbe Hon. '11.I1. Fergus were among those present. Mr Mendershausen (the preeident) and the officers and members of the Dunedin Club laid themselves out to dispense hospitality, and the ladles were able to eujov a cup of tea, coffee, or other light refreshments whi!e watching the game.
