ANOTHER SEKIOUS LABOUR DISPUTE. London, February 5,
(Received February 0, at 1.30 a.m.) The Carmen's Union, consisting of 14,000 man, and the Liverpool, Irish, and Scotch dockers, of 30,000 men, are amalgamating with the London dockers. The Docks, Wharves, Warehouses, and Granaries Union lockout men are refusing to load non-union carmen. Mann is endeavouring to prevent a strike of the wool labourers, who allege that they are suffering from several grievances. Brook's wharf has joined the Bermondsey strikers. THE IKON MARKET. Glasgow pig iron is quoted at 535. IMPERIAL PENNY POSTAGE. _ The Morning Post considers that the time is opportune for an Imperial Commission to inquire iuto the question of a penny postal system. Montpensior (Duo de) Antoine-Marle-Pbillppe-Lomß-d'Orleam., burn at Keuilty, July 31,1824, fifth 1 son of the late King Louis-Philippe and Queen Marie Amelie, was educated at the College Henri IV, ; and, after a special examination, was appointed lieutenant of artillery in 1842. (Received February 5, at 12.15 p.m.) At a meeting of the Canadian Federation League a resolution was passed expressive of sympathy with the federation movement in Australia, and urging that periodical conferences of federation leagues throughout the Empire should be held. THE ZAMBESI DISPUTE. Lisbon, February 5. (Received February (j, at 1.80 a.vi.) It is reported that all the Powers, with the exception of Germany, have accepted the proposal of Portugal for the appointment of a conference to discuss the dispute with regard to Zambesi. England, it is said, has already given her assent. A SOCIALIST RIOT. Berlin, February 4. (Received February 5, at 12.15 p.m.) A Socialist riot broke out on Saturday at Stassfurt, in Prussian Saxony.
