A SPORTING ACTION.

Wellington, October 24. Judgment was given this morning in the sporting case of George Donne v. Joseph Mandel, a claim for £80 13s 4d, for work done and commissions executed by plaintiff as an expert in connection with race meetingß held at Christchurch, Napier, and Dunedin, and for the repayment of £40 lodged with Mandel with reference to a wager on the Australian Cup. A verdict was given for the defendant, with £3 6a costs.
