RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

— • Wedsbsday, Ootobeb 16. (Before Mr E. H, Carew, H.M,) _ A. Solomon v. P. G. Whetham.—Claim £5, on a judgment 6ummons.— Mr S. Solomon appeared for the plaintiff.—Evidence was given by the parties, from which it appeared that the money waß due in connection with a bill which defendant had endorsed for Mr Pricker.—ll r Carew said it was very hard that a man should have to pay another's debtß ; but both parties admitted that £!! 7s was due on the judgment, and he had no option but to make an order for the payment of the £3 7s and costs (ss) by the 17thiust.,or ia default four days'imprisonment* J. Donnelly v. J. Macdonald.—Claim £2 Us 6d,on a judgment summons.—Mr Gallaway appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Stamper for the delendant.— After the defeudant had been examined as to his means, the cate was dismissed.
