FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.

The quarterly summoned meeting of Court Enterprise, No. 3990, A.0.F., was held at the courtroom, Carroll's Hotel, Georg« street, on Tuesday evening, nearly 100 members being present, aud aleb several visiting brothers from Courts Pride of Duuedin and Little John. It waa rssolved to patronise the first anniversary of Court Little John, to be held on Fridav the llili prox., aud to turn out in precession at the Kaikoral Valley. C.R. Bro. C. H. Oaten was appointed to represent this court at the meeting of delenateß of the various friendly societies re the holdine of a grand sjala during the exhibition. One new member was initiated. The committee reported thnt the anniversary of the district w.ib to be held at the Friendly Societies' Gardens, Sawyers' Bay, on the Prince of Wales' birthday. Receipts of the evening, The quarterly meeting of the Linden Lodge, No. 165, U.A.0.11., was held hi tho Council Chambers, Roslyn. A.D. Bro. Donaldson was iu the chair. All the office™ were present, and there was a good attendance of members. The visitors were D.P. Bro. Mobs K.A.D. Brn.Haymeß.P.D.P. Bro. Hutchinßon, A D Bro Eaeon. iiurt several others. D P. Bro.
