A SLANDER CASE.

(Per United Pekss Association.) Wellington, September 28. Iu the Supreme Court to-day Thomas Pitcher Raueome, maltster, of Grovetown, near Blenheim, sued John Gifford Fildec, manager of the Bauk of New Zealand at Blenheim, for £500 damages for alleged slander. The case had been heard at Blenheim in April last, but a rehearing was granted on the ground that the jury had been misdirected with regard to a question ol privilege. The ease had not concluded when the court adjourned at 4 o'clook until to-mor-row.
