FOOTBALL.
Nelson, September 11, The Interprovincial Football match Nelson v. Wairarapa was played to-day in lovely weather, and in the presence of 500 spectators. In the first spell the visitors scored a goal and in the second got an easy try which was not converted. The Nelson team made no score in the first spell, but secured a try in the second, but do gaol resulted, the visitors thus winning by 4 points to 1. The game was very fast throughont, ex« cellent form being shown by both teams. A very friendly feeling prevailed throughout the game, and the visitors were heartily congratulated on their victory. ■■ FIXTUHE. A match has been arranged for Saturday, on the Oariabrook ground, between a combined team of the Kaikora! and Alhambra clubs and a selected team, The following will represent the latter:-Full back— Heid; three quarters—Lynch, Lang, Thomaß; half backs—Oran and Owen; forwards — Eallingahaw, Stephenson, Montgomery (captain), Tattersall, M'l'arlane, Sonntag, Isaacs, Bsquilanfc, Matheson. Any player unable to roll up is requested to leave notice in the club room as soon as possible.
