Port Chalmers train, at 2.30 p.m. Letters for the United Kingdom must be specially addressed, and paid Is per £oz. Fbiday, May 17. SAN FEANCISCO MAIL SERVICE. For Northern ports of New Zealand, the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, Continent of Europe, Samoa, Sandwich Islands, United States of America, Canada, South America, and West Indies, &e., at 10 a.m. Registered correspondence at 5 p.m., money orderß at 4 p.m. on Thursday, the 16fch. Book packets and newspapers at 9.30 a.m. on Friday, 17th. t.ate letters, bearing an additional Bingle rate of postage (6d) as a late lee, can be posted in the guard's van attached to the North train, leaving Dunedin Railway station at 11 a.m. on Friday, the 17th. The above mail will close at the branch post office, Dunedin North, for money orders at 4 p.m., registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 16th ; and for letterß and newspapers at 9.30 a.m. on the 17th. At the South Dunedin office, for money orders at 4 p.m. ,and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 16th, and for letters and newspapers at 5 a.m. on the 17th. At the Port Chalmers office, at 8 a.m. on the 17th, money orders at 4 p.m., and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 16th. The above mail will be due in London on 24th June. Satubday,' May 18. For Northern ports of New Zealand, per Wakatipu, at 8 p.m. Note.—During the winter months the mails for Lee Stream, Clarks, and Middlemarch will close at this office fin Tuesday and Friday afternoon. (Circular). It has been determined to forward the lonic's mails via San Francisco to England.
