OUR VOLUNTEERS.
The return match between the Dunedin Highland Rifles and the Bast Taieri Rifles was fired on Saturday last at the Holyrood range, and resulted in a victory for the Highlanders by 29 points. The match was not (inched until past 7 o'clock. '.The last four men firing in each team being at a great disadvantage, they agreed to fire oniy five shots each at 500 yds. The conditions wt?e: Ten men a side; 200 yds, 300 yds, and 50-lyds ; seven shots at each distance : — 200 SOO 500 yds. yds. vdß. Tl.
