In consequence of this the defendant knocked the complainant down twice and kicked him.—Evidence ;vas Klv_en in support of the statement by the oomplainaut and his son and daughter.—Tli'o defendant stated that the complainant took off his coat, " Bhapod " up to him and endeavoured to strike him. He, however, evaded the complainant's blows and knocked him down twice, but did not kick him. Since the complainant had taken out a summons against him for assault he had taken out one against the complainant.—The Bench intimated that the case had been proved and lined the defendant £2; in default, eoveu days' imprisonment.
