MASONIC.

The annual convocation of the Chapter of Otago, No. 8-u, 8.C., was held on the 9th inst.- in the Freemason's Hall, Moray place. The ordinary - business having been gone through a conclave of inBtalled Principals was opened by M.E. Companion B. Bn.-niield, Z., who proceeded to install M.B. Companion C. Braid as M.E.Z. for the ensuiug year, while M.K. Companion C. de L. Graham. P.Z., No. 912, installed the Key. Companion W. Eonaldson n» Kx. H.; M.K. Companion Bamlield installing Ex. Companion G. J. Blrtckmore iib J., the concJave was then closed, and the M.B. Companion, Sir Eoberb Stout, P.Z. (one of the P.O. sword bearers of the Suureme Grand Chapter), next invested the officers, and in doing so made appropriate addresses to each, of the Companions, who hold office as follows:— T. G. de Kwizy, S.K.; ¥. Peake (P Z.), Treasurer; A. J. Barth, P.S.; P. Fitchett, S.N.; C. Honaldeon anil W. Thompson assistant sojonrners; W. H. Meyer, Janitor. Afterwards M.E. Companion Stout addressed the Principals; M.K. Companion Bamlield the officers, and M.K. Companion de L. Graham the members of the Chapter. Votes of thanks were ordered to be recorded to the installing ollicers, and alter the usual congratulations had been, conveyed to the M.E.Z. the Chapter was closed.
