LAND BOARD.
The ordinary meeting of the Land Board was held on Wednesday, and attended by Messrs J. V. Maitland (chief commissioner), Dallas, Logan, mid Dan-
Poolbukjj.—l). Nicholson asked for the right to graze stock on thu forest reserve part of section 3, block XI, Poolbnrn.—Referred to the chief commissioner.
Hyde.—The Under-secretary of Crown Lands wrote stating that the Government approved of the Hyde township reserve being offered for pastoral lease by public auction for a term of five yeais.— Consideration deferred for a fortnight.
UxpiHiXff Leases. —The Chief Surveyor forwarded a list of runs the leases of which expire in March ISoo.—The Chief Commissioner stated that the new terms and rentals would be fixed next week.
Lkani.vg Kock.—Messrs Stewart, Holmes, and Ucunistou, on behalf of C. T. Mario, applied for a renewal of the lease of coalmine, sections 114,115, 117, block 11, Leaning Kock, fora term of 21 years.— i'hc application was granted at a rent of 2s lid per acre and v royally of 6d per ton, the rent to cease wh"n the royalty exceeds the amount of the rent.
Kyeijukx.—Walter Morgan wrote complaining llmt Christian Archer did not keep a sullicieut supply of coal at the mouth of his pit at Kycburn.— It was decided to inform the licensee of the complaint. Ida. Vallky, — A petition was received from miners at German Hill asking thai 5000 acres of land which is auriferous, extending from Muddy creek to the west boundary of Ida Valley station 'on the west side of Roxburgh ridge, be inside a mining reserve.— Hcltrred to the district land officer for a report. Cia-db.—Th« District Land Oilicer at Clyde forwarded an application from Benjamin Ksiylor, junior, and F. Jeffrey to have sections Sand 20 to 2H, block X, Clyde town, grouped and put up for sale as suburban allotments.—-Government to be recommended that 1 lie sections should ue grouped and classified as suburban lands, with the view of their being offered in two allotments at £3 per acre. Tuai'Kk \.—The Treasurer of the Tuapekn County Council forwarded a list of roads on which moneys derived from certain lands are to bo expended.—Approved. Idauuhs.—Mr V. I'yke, having been informed of the communication of Government on his application on behalf of Messrs Pitches to surrender three 6inall grazing runs, and that they lie grouped and offered as one, wrote renewing his application that they may be allowed to surrender, with the view of their being grouped and offered as one run of 6622 acres.—Ueferred U> the Government.
